God’s Plan of Salvation

My friend, there is no way to heaven except through a personal belief in Jesus Christ as Savior.  There are a number of Scriptural facts we must know.

We must know that mankind is sinful.

Romans 3:10 - As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. . . .

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God . . . .

We must know that mankind is condemned because of sin.

Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned . . .

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We must know that Jesus Christ is God’s provision for mankind’s sin.

Rom 5:8-9 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

We must know that God’s provision is free.

Eph 2:8-9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

These verses teach us that we must receive Jesus Christ by faith alone, trusting that His payment for our sin on the cross is the only way of forgiveness for our sin against God.

My friend, if you have not received Christ as Savior, you may do so right now. If you will confess that you are a sinner to Jesus, ask forgiveness for that sin and ask Him to save your soul, He will.

I’ve Just Trusted Christ!

Now What?

“But Can I Ever

Really Be Sure?”

Good question. Some Christians struggle mentally and emotionally concerning their salvation. Let’s just take a short look at what the Bible says about salvation.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Just about everyone is familiar with this verse, perhaps the most famous verse in the Bible. If you’ll look carefully at the verse you’ll find that everlasting life comes when you believe, not afterward when you die.

How long is “everlasting?” How long is “eternal?” Those aren’t trick questions: the answers are intended to be obvious. Eternal is eternal! Eternal is forever! Everlasting is never-ending!

Consider the implications of that simple truth. Those who believe have everlasting life. It does not say those who believe “will have” everlasting life at some point in the future. It’s now. It’s never ending.

The moment you trust Christ by faith for your eternal salvation, you have it. If you could lose it, it wouldn’t be eternal, would it?

That’s why the Bible tells us this:

1John 5:12-13 - He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

We may know that we have eternal life when we’ve trusted Jesus Christ, the Son of God, for our salvation; not at some point “out there” in the future; but here, now.

QUESTION: Have you trusted Christ to be your Savior?

IF NO, why not right now?

IF YES, then simply believe what God has said; faith in Christ brings eternal life now, not at some point in the future.
